Job Posting: Part-Time Dietary Support Specialist

About the Role: Support Broker Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to provide part-time food preparation services for a male client with a disability. This role is essential in supporting his health and well-being through the strict adherence to a specialized diet prescribed by his healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, understand the importance of dietary needs, and take pride in preparing nutritious and safe meals.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare meals and snacks according to the client’s specific, prescribed dietary guidelines.
Ensure all food is handled, stored, and cooked safely to prevent cross-contamination and maintain nutritional integrity.
Perform grocery shopping for the client, carefully selecting items that comply with his dietary restrictions.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment.
Accommodate the client’s preferences within the constraints of his dietary plan.
Track meals prepared and communicate any issues or supply needs to the client’s support team.

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check through the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). This is a mandatory requirement for employment.
Previous experience in food preparation, preferably in a setting with dietary restrictions (e.g., healthcare, personal chef, allergy-aware cooking).
Knowledge of and commitment to strict food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification a plus, but not required).
Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes with precision.
Reliable transportation for grocery shopping and commuting to the client's home.
Compassion, patience, and a respectful understanding of working with an individual with a disability.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Logistics:

Pay: $14.25 - $14.50 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule: Approximately 6-12 hours per week. Specific days and times are flexible and will be mutually agreed upon.
This is a part-time, at-will position.
